Those who are not sure about using Java 17 can just give it a try, and IntelliJ IDEA will help you use new features as you go along. It is worth noting that IntelliJ IDEA has language migration inspections to help you move from Java 16 to 17. ![]() Trisha Gee (Lead Java Advocate, JetBrains): It is great that JetBrains had support for Java 17 even before its release. Our speakers discussed the new release and what they thought about it: IntelliJ IDEA was already able to support development with Java 17 upon its release in September.
